Awards: | For 42 years Cliff Ramos was known as “Coach” to thousands of athletes, students, mentors, and friends.Throughout his career, Coach Ramos guided the Collins Hill wrestling program to 9 state championships and several individual state champions. He was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2008 and was National Wrestling Coach of the Year in 2010.
In addition to his coaching accolades, Coach Ramos was always looking to make an impact in the community. He was involved with the Lawrenceville Co-op, volunteered with the children’s ministry at his church, and offered his wrestling team to do projects in the community. Coach Ramos secretly went out of his way to help many families without bringing attention to himself.
Coach fought courageously for over 2 years, undergoing serious
surgeries and a multitude of setbacks. While his life on Earth ended in October of 2020, our hope is for him to be remembered by his impact in the community and his never-ending fight against Pancreatic Cancer. So come on out and run/walk/crawl, it makes no difference at all how you help us in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer.
Trophies will be given to the top overall male and female winners as well as masters male and female winners and Grand Master male and female. Medals will be given to the top 3 in male and female 5 year increment age group categories from 10 and under all the way to 75 and up. |
