FundRacers is happy to offer families a discount on registration for this race. The discount applies when you register 4 people. You don't have to do anything to request the discount. The discount is calculated automatically by our system, and will show up in your order basket once the 4th person is added to your registration.
Keep in mind the discount applies only to the first 4 people you register. After that, registration charges are calculated at the regular price in effect at the time you submit your registration.
The family discount only applies when 4 people are registered for the same event. While we encourage families to take advantage of the discount, please keep in mind that any discounts provided can adversely affect the amount of money raised for the event's cause. - Families of 4 or 5 |

| Awards: | Join us for a fun morning of music, door prizes, awards and PANCAKES on one of the flatest courses in Gwinnett County and all of North Georgia. So come on out and run, walk, or jog with us at Alexei's Hike for Hearts and hotcakes!
Medals will be given to the top three in five year increment age groups from 10 and under all the way to 70 and up. Trophies given to the top overall male and overall female winners as well as Masters Male and Masters Female winners. |

| Alexei David Bowers
1995 - 2021
Alexei was born in Khabarovsk, Russia in 1995. He was adopted by his parents, Anjela & Brett Bowers, when he was 17 months old. They moved from Maryland to Suwanee, GA in 1998 when Alexei was 4 years old. At the age of 6 a virus attacked his heart and he developed dilated cardiomyopathy. After spending many days at Egleston Hospital he finally received a heart transplant. It was necessary for him to take many immunosuppressant medications to keep his body from rejecting his new heart. He visited the hospital often to monitor his heart and have biopsies to check for rejection. Although it was "painful" for us, he loved going to Egleston and even bounded out of bed in excitement at the thought of seeing the staff who loved him!
Alexei spent many summer months attending Camp Brave Heart. This camp is offered by Sibley Heart Center to children who have had heart surgeries. He loved attending this camp! He was well known & loved by the Counselors & Staff!
Although he was medically fragile, his spirit was strong! He spent his last few years receiving dialysis treatments and never complained.
Alexei died on March 29, 2021 of renal / respiratory failure.
He loved the Lord! He always lived by his life verse, Joshua 1:9, "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord is with you wherever you go."
